Do you think the group over-relied on scavenging and wandering as opposed to using say, bushcraft techniques?

Sure you could say they were desperate and weren't in the mindset to think about those kinds of things, but how helpful would it have been to know how to build shelters and collect water and plant tomatoes and educate themselves in horticulture, agriculture and botany science?

In your opinion, do you think the nasty, brutal pragmatism characters commit in dangerous or more dire situation is a moral value we should teach children?

Examples include:

Tying a man up and executing him so he can't report back

Shooting a man in the leg and leaving him to die for your own survival

Killing the sick people in the prison

Biting throats out

Torturing people

Leaving a man to die so you can take his stuff

Hanging a man

Killing people you think deserve it

Shooting a mentally ill girl

Regardless of how necessary you think they are, would you agree these behaviours are fucked up? And is the good that COULD come out of them negate the harm these actions being caused and their fucked-upness ?

Let me know your thoughts :)

What are the chances the saviors would eventually collapse because they over-relied on hoarding and didn't have the skills to produce things and maintain themselves?

I just wonder how big the knowledge gap was in what the saviours knew how to produce.
