Between these 4 games: what should I buy

Crimson desert:

I’m interested in the game and really want a new RPG to sink my teeth into but the lack of a character creator, the very poor story, and the price is currently pushing me away.

Resident evil 9:

I love the RE series. I loved RE 2, RE 3, RE 4, RE 8 and now I’m hoping I’ll love RE9. The main things holding me back is the price point and worries about replay-ability.

Toxic commando:

I have bought WWZ and Space Marine 2 and loved both. Toxic commando seems like exactly more of what I love. The only thing is that I’ve heard it’s really short. This is also the cheapest game in this list.

WH40K battlesector:

I already own one of the games in a bundle for it so I’m gonna be getting a small discount on it anyways. I’ve recently gotten into turn based strategy and really wanna get into more of it. I haven’t done as much research into this one so I’m unsure of how much entertainment I’m gonna get out of it.

In terms of me as a person:

I like RPG’s and FPS’s mainly but I am willing to branch out and try new genres. I don’t mind long games but I am currently away from home, so I’m reliant on a really slow laptop to play games. I also don’t mind hard games so long as it’s easily learnable or tune-able.

Also, I don’t mind other recommendations around the same price range.

Penultimately, I’m looking for a game to ride out the last bit of the semester. Something I can get through over time. Something that isn’t too long or complex or requires any long term investment. I’m looking for something fun and also something that has some decent replay value.

Is it even possible to balance guns and melee?

I’ve had a idea where guns and melee are in the same game. I recently told a friend about my idea for the game and he told me that it’d be horribly unbalanced.

My initial idea was to make reloading and rechambering processes manual so that guns (while also having guns have one-shot headshots) would be balanced with melee but he told me that it’d wouldn’t be fun and that the guns would still end up being overpowered.

Is there any way to actually balance guns with melee without making one too tedious or overpowered?
