I used to disappear immediately after the final bell

I’m confused about which branch to choose for B.Tech from a private college. I’m very interested in Mechanical Engineering and would have picked it, but some relatives advised me against it and suggested options like Computer Science or Electrical, which has left me even more confused. I’m not very interested in CS since it feels overcrowded. I’m more inclined toward building FPV drones, robots, and gadgets. So my question is: which branch would give me hands-on technical skills in areas like CAD modeling and CNC machining? And is it a worthwhile choice in the long run to pay my rent and 4 foreign trips a year?
