Total War: Warhammer 40,000 hasn’t even been released yet, and I’m already counting the days. But I can’t be the only one wondering: what if they eventually make a Total War: Horus Heresy?

After all, we got three Warhammer Fantasy titles before a 40K game was even announced. So… does a Horus Heresy game make sense? Could it actually happen?

As a Warhammer fan, I love the idea. That said, I understand why some people might not be as excited. The roster would essentially consist of the nine Loyalist Legions and the nine Traitor Legions, meaning no Tyranids, Orks, or other Xenos factions.

Still, the potential is incredible. We’d have all the Primarchs on the battlefield and the chance to reshape iconic moments of the Heresy, like the Dropsite Massacre, the Burning of Prospero, or even the Siege of Terra.

That alone would make it unforgettable.
