I just went to a local Staples store to recycle a battery and earn points and I was informed it now costs $2.99 to recycle a battery, and I no longer receive points.

PSA to those who have been using this program to recycle batteries at Staples! It's really unfortunate there's no way to earn points for recycling dead batteries anymore.
