Hi all, I recently bought a 2017 Tiguan Wolfsburg, it has the CCTA but has a nasty rod knock and horrible misfires in cylinders 2 and 4. Planning on just replacing the engine unless someone suggest otherwise. Are all “CCTA” engines the same? What other models share this engine that would bolt in? Also depending on mileage of the new engine, what should I replace before I throw it in besides the Waterpump/thermostat, pcv, and chains guides and tensioner?
