I've had a quick string swap on my E-II Eclipse. Same set of NYXL 10-52.

Simple job that takes 10 to 15 minutes.

Swap old macaroni strings for a fresh set, check intonation, have a practice session.

Aaaaaand when I reached the D string my heart stopped. On 12th fret it's been quarter tone too low.

So I screw the screw till I can't screw no more.

Still too low.

Checking neck bow - fine.

Checking nut - also fine.

Checking other tuner - not fine.

Checking yet another tuner juat in case previous two were showing false information - definitelu not fine.

Checked other guitar with the same ser of strings - fine.

So I ended up cannibalizing my emergency set of strings i keep deep in my tools drawer.

It's fine.

So just for future reference lads, if something goes wrong during setup on a fresh set of strings... don't do a full setup. Just replace the bloody faulty string.
