Are we in the UK more disconnected from the outdoors compared to other places?

This is a just a general feeling I have had that we are far less outdoorsy than places like Scandinavia, the US, Canada and other parts of Europe.

I suspect a lack of right to roam in England and Wales in particular may have a lot to do with it, restricting where we can do outdoor activities, but I feel we are on average a quite indoorsy people.

Interested to know if anyone feels the same I do.
