Help with issue adding an Additional driver to reservation
I have a reservation for the end of the month that I made a few weeks ago. I haven't rented a vehicle in a while and wanted to make sure I had everything understood and in place prior to the day I picked it up, ask if they had any hybrid SUVs, and that I would be driving it to Florida. The last time I rented, I got there and told them I was driving it to TN, I had to wait a while for a different car because the one they were going to give me needed to be serviced and get an oil change, I had time to wait and didn't mind. I wanted to make sure that didn't happen and well anxiety gets the best of me sometimes, lol. My partner and I are driving to Florida (from Ct), while at the branch I'll be getting it from, I asked about adding her and what we needed to do, she lives about an hour away. The employee there told me that she could just go to the branch near her to add herself to my reservation so she didn't have to come there. I screenshot the reservation page in the app with my confirmation number for her to show them. She went the next morning and they told her they couldn't do it and that they couldn't even look up my confirmation number because they were in a different group?
Any advice on how to get this accomplished, we are both 911 dispatchers that work overnights, coordinating both of us being available to meet and go to the branch when they're open in the next 2 weeks is going to be tough. Also, I'm renting saturday to monday, 9 days, if I switch it to Friday, they would be able to pick me up (they don't do pick ups on saturdays) and I don't have to figure out what to do with my personal vehicle. Should I just do a two week rental to save money?
