Why do some people really not seem to like Piper?

Because she commits the heinous crime of not wanting to travel with you if you act like a jerk? Because she "abandons" Nat? These points seem nitpicky as all hell. But I'll quickly go over them both and give my thoughts.

It's established that Piper spends half her time locked up in the Diamond City jail, or as she humourously calls it "The Piper Suite." If Nat couldn't take care of herself for long periods of time, then Piper wouldn't carry on being a journalist, a job that requires her to get into trouble with the higher-ups in Diamond City and spend quite a bit of time away from home. Piper knows that Diamond City, for the most part, is safe.

The other point is weird as well. Piper is clearly established from the start as being someone who hates injustice. It's the same reason why I don't travel with Cait, because she hates it when I do nice things. Doesn't make her a bad companion, just not one tailored to my play style. But for some reason, people only take it as a personal attack when it's Piper calling them out for doing things she doesn't like.

Waterloo Road deaths ranked by how sad they made me feel (Spoilers obviously)

On a semi-related note, I kind of wish we got to see a little bit more of Mr MacDonald and his incredibly close bond with his daughter. The writers didn't even give him a first name, yet I still felt sad when he died (mainly because he sounded like a nice guy, and also because I felt incredibly bad for Vicki).

My PC has had a less than perfect time running Fallout 4. Like, it runs the game itself beautifully, but for some reason there has always been something that has pretty much ruined my current playthrough.

Back in 2023, after building the Institute teleporter, my game just wouldn't stop crashing. I was told that the crashes I experienced were due to weapon debris and godrays, but that didn't explain why it only started happening after the Institute teleporter was built.

Second playthrough, early 2024. Found a fix for the Godrays and weapon debris, but I didn't get far enough to test the Institute teleporter before the next-gen update happened and ruined my game.

Since then, I have bought Fallout 4 on GOG and apparently that doesn't include the next-gen update. I'm still too scared to try it out though and get fully invested in a playthrough because I've been burned so many times before.

What are your thoughts on Ashton and Shola's relationship at the end of Series 17? And how do you think it'll continue in Series 18? I haven't seen many people talk about this plot point, largely because it pretty much came out of nowhere.

I honestly think that the way news outlets and certain fans have spoken about Scarlett Thomas across her career have been absolutely vile. Regardless of her acting ability, she isn't even an adult yet and the things I've read about her have been needlessly cruel and harsh. And now that she's revealed that she is fully aware of what certain people think about her, it just doesn't need to keep being said anymore. To be honest, it didn't need to be said to begin with. She's a teenage girl and far too many people forget that when they line up their "Nepotism" and "Zero acting ability" comments.

I always liked him even though he didn't get a lot of screentime after his first appearance. He's sort of like the Greenock Era's answer to Ronan, only without the budding entrepreneur gimmick. He may have been a bit of a wind-up sometimes and would also occasionally say the wrong thing, but his loyalty to his friends was second-to-none. It was really sweet how accepting he was of Kacey's transition, even defending Kacey from bullies in one episode.

It's safe to say that Vicki's entire legacy among fans at this point is being a bad girlfriend/friend. I'm not saying that fans aren't within their right to remember her that way, because they are. At the end of the day, it's all just personal opinions. But this moment here at the end of Series 6 Episode 7 has always stuck with me for some reason, and is an example of the Vicki that I choose to remember.
