Need help from anyone in the Philippines who has ordered from Gymshark internationally.

I ordered 9 items from Gymshark directly from their website around 3 days ago. My total was around ₱21,000, and I got free shipping during checkout.

Today I received a text from UPS saying I need to pay ₱8,729 for import fees/customs charges before delivery.

I contacted Gymshark and they said this is already under UPS/customs concern, not theirs.

I’m confused because:

• I already got free shipping
• ₱8,729 feels really high for a ₱21k clothing order
• I’m not sure if this amount is normal for apparel imports to the Philippines

Has anyone here ordered from Gymshark (or other international clothing brands) and gotten charged something similar?

1. Is ₱8,729 realistic for customs/VAT/brokerage on a ₱21,600 order?
2. Can I ask UPS for a full breakdown of the charges?
3. Is there any way to dispute/recompute it if it seems too high?

Would appreciate hearing your experiences before I pay anything.
