Question about ground saver and Sunday delivery

My mail order Pharmacy is sending a prescription (small package) and I paid them for the express shipping next day. If I upgrade on the app to get the Ground Saver option, is it possible that it will be delivered on Sunday? Like tomorrow? I’m out of my med and didn’t even realize it was Friday when I called it in . So I’m hoping and praying that it’s a possibility. I appreciate any and all responses! Thanks in advance!

Thoughts of a 19 year employee. Started at 17 in 2007.

Throwaway account, for obvious reasons.

All they did was move the goal post to make it easier to hit numbers.

In my area all NDA went to EOD commit times of 1700, business and air back in February. Funny part was routes in extended areas got screwed by it since their all their commits except EAMs were due by EOD 2359 before and after now they have 10 air commits that ORION doesn’t list until the preprogrammed commit time In the DIAD, until an hour before they’re due

Their logic is if there’s essentially no air trace then there should be 0 late air ever and routes are as close to peak season with a drastically different “AM” air commit than ever in company history outside of peak season.

And with the drop in Amazon volume, routes are getting bigger because they’re pressured to cut down and encourage layoffs, even with the buyouts. Problem is the center I’m in has grown too fast in the last 10 years, both residential by about 30% overall. The things the dispatch has become is essentially the same plan every week when there’s no severe weather.

Monday-dogshit light, low stops, low route level, high mileage
Tuesday and Friday-barely more than Monday
Wednesday and Thursday-most “normal” days of the week with extra routes with the proper swing routes that were normally in on Tuesday THROUGH Friday.

Certain EAMs that are 5 minutes away from the building and used to be 0800 commit times have been selectively moved back to 1400. So our “EAM” service has split into 2 types to maximize and justify priority packages. One, if in town options are 0800/0930; second is 1400.

At this point their logic also is that drivers should be delivering more stops consistently with the extremely lax commit times. That’s why they want documentation on everything. Normally, You have to demonstrate a pattern of continuous service issues related to the same thing; i.e documented for last air through progressive discipline; documented talk with, warning letter, suspension, then fired.

But if you document them on talk withs and warning letters on multiple issues; simple as not wearing socks with with shorts, a clear violation of the professional dress code that every employee signs when getting hired as a driver/insider, late air as explained above, and not knowing depth of knowledge questions after multiple reviews with management specifically, can be a bad case against you.

This example is a list of the 3 things management “cares” about in order: 1. Safety, 2. Service, and 3. Production With the cited infractions above, management can make a case that the driver is a “delinquent employee” due to the established track record of appearance and late air issues directly attached to #2 Service and the lack of DOK to #1 Safety. “If the employee doesn’t care about Safety or Service, why should we have them work for the United Parcel SERVICE.” Because that’s all we do. We don’t make or sell anything. We only provide a service of moving customers packages from A to B.

I can honestly say after almost 19 years of service, 15 being in management, I used to love my job but I haven’t believed in the company since Covid started. If retirement is 62 now then by the time I could actually retire it’ll at least be bumped up to 65; the pay and benefits are good, but I don’t want to spend the next 30 years hating the month of December and Christmas.

Package stuck in warehouse

Hi everyone. I’ve had this package coming in from the Netherlands. It’s been stuck in this loop since it arrived. UPS never contacted me and when I called them I was told that there’s nothing I need to do and that they’re processing it. I even contacted our business account manager who keeps apologizing for the delay but isn’t giving me any details as to what’s happening with it. It’s been 12 days that it’s been in the warehouse for so far and I’m worried that these morons lost my package or damaged it or something and I’ll never end up getting it

Been having this problem

So I have had this problem with UPS for a while now, I like to order on vinted here and there and usually I order it to a pickup station since everyone at my home is at work when the delivery guy is doing his rounds.

Basically every time I order something and use UPS for shipping it always ends up with me not being able to get my package bc the driver ALWAYS forgets to send me the QR Code to pick up the item. I thought it might’ve just been a problem with my email but I always got the Codes when I used different companies for the shipping. My mum had the same problem and we had to call UPS itself to get it sorted out.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue or is it just the UPS drivers that do their rounds in my area? Bc of that issue I had to send back my PSP that I had gotten as a gift for my brother…

Recent issue driver not picking up packages while delivering

My company provides a storage unit. I get deliveries 1-5 times a week m-f. I have outgoing packages that my driver refuses to pickup. I have been doing this for 7ish years without issues until recently. Most of the time they are small boxes weighing 5 pounds. On occasion there are larger ones. Never more than 3 if they are picked up so they don't pile up. Why won't my driver pickup packages when he is here for delivery?

UPS Tops List of Bus-Lane Blockers Caught on Camera Last Year

UPS trucks were flagged more than 25,000 times last year for obstructing New York City bus lanes, MTA data reveals. That’s nearly twice as many as Amazon, whose 12,975 violations ranked second.

Missing package worth $1000+ what can I expect from UPS?

The sender is a big corp. they’ve filed a claim with UPS on my behalf. The UPS record says the package was left at the front door. No pic. People steal packages from our building often. The security cameras aren’t functional either.

Does UPS take responsibility in situations like this or am I out of luck? Edit: I personally don’t see why UPS would be responsible; I’m simply asking how this works.

I’m gonna contact Chase to see if i have any protection with them. Contacted police to file a report also.

Hurt at work (UPS)

On March 31st while at work a coworker yanked a chair from under me while we were on break. The shop Stuarts saw it. Nobody did anything. I got a little hurt so I reported it to my full-time supervisor and she went with the shop Stuart to talk to the coworker. I had to write an incident report and I denied medical because at the time only my butt and knee were hurting. I never found out why my coworker did this I was just told he got written up. Days later I realized my wrist was hurting but I ignored it hoping it would get better. It’s been a month since the incident and my wrist never got better and I realize when I do most things it actually hurts a lot sometimes. Is it too late to go back and request medical help since I wrote an incident report at the time. I know this is a question I should be able to ask my shop Stuart’s but they roll their eyes when I ask for help and the are clearly not on our side and are working with management.

So much for 2 day air.

Got a watch from NYC send to LA and now stuck in KY purgatory. Tried to file a claim in case and said I couldn’t since it wasn’t lost. Worried since this is an expensive watch.

Can I pre-paid a shipping label with overestimation ?

I have some boxes that I don’t know the exact weight, I need to find a tasker to help me pick it up from a place and take them to ups to ship because I’m not there.

I’m planning to create a shipping label and prepaid it but since I don’t know how much weight it is I will try to pay for more weight and dimension so it’s sufficient enough.

This is the only way I can think of now. Will ups refund me if I pay too much? Or is there a way ups can let me pay through my phone/remotely when the tasker brings the package in??

Thanks!!

Just a little advice.

Just like everyone else wondering if I'll get my package today. I've reached out to UPS so no worries they are definitely escalating my case and will call me back in 90 minutes 🙄

Order a 2 day air package, paid extra, says it's out for delivery and was loaded into a truck this morning. Kept an eye on it all morning and they have been going around my house all morning. So many times they stopped by my place but not actually my place. But fine. Schedules are schedules. Except about 20 minutes ago finally the UPS guy stopped at my house......and delivered nothing. And then left.......I mean it still says it's supposed to be here today but tbh kinda getting the vibe it's not. I get it's not on his truck but God UPS and there services are genuinely making me crash out. Spending 30 mins on the line just to be read the exact thing I'm looking at makes me want to be a criminal. Ffs. I don't understand why it's so difficult to just get a yes or no, if it's Gunna show today or not. Not to mention the website has locked me out due to to many attempts at verifying my identity. So that's neat.

Some tell me I'm being impatient and it'll come today. Kinda needed it to come today and not Monday, because I know if it doesn't show today of course it won't be here till Monday oml.

Friendly or Flirty Driver?

I need help identifying on if this driver is just being a friendly driver or if he’s interested but cautious.

he’s been my driver for about 6-7months now but I haven’t been paying close attention to his actions until January and since January, I’ve been noticing that he has been lingering more in my store if I’m the only one in the store. He usually stays in my store for about 2-3 minutes if it’s just him and I. If another employee is nearby, he won’t put himself out there as much. He went on vacation last month and when he came back within the second day, he asked my employees if I was on vacation. And when I came back, he ended up telling me that he asked about me and It completely took me by surprise. since then he has asked me about my hours, and made small talk. If you he sees me outside my store, he’ll stop and engage in conversation. He won’t just say hi and keep moving. This past Monday I asked him how old he was when he started asking me about my profession and that’s how I learned that we are the same age. 36 yrs old. I work in a mall setting and his deliveries are within the mall. Tomorrow I was going to ask for his socials or his number. What are the drivers rules when it comes to further interaction? I can’t tell if he’s waiting for me to give him a green light or if he stalling because of his job or if he’s just being friendly.

Placed an order, got a delay status and waited, still nothing and so I checked it UPS and Ups gives me a usps tracking number and usps says it was delivered before I placed the order. Was there some mixup of the tracking number or something?

How are UPS pickup drivers decided?

So I have weekly 20+ box pickups and It’s almost always a different driver, but when I don’t have a pickup and just a regular delivery it’s the same 1 or 2 people. I know drivers don’t like picking up from me because it’s usually all 50 lb extra large boxes so I’m wondering if drivers are differing the pickup to someone else? How does it work? (Not a complaint)

Package stuck in customs

Hello all, Im the receiver of a package that was shipped from Canada to the US on April 13th. We're now 3 weeks later and its still stuck in customs in North Dakota. Last week, I received an update that it was "released by a government agency" which got my hopes up, but now its stuck in the warehouse scan loop. Anyone have a similar experience? How much longer should I wait before filing a claim? Thanks!
