Partner is struggling and still feeling bad
hi,
my partner has been diagnosed with apnea for about 3 years now. he started with a MRA but that wasn't sufficient anymore as he had an AHI of 44 with it.
he started using the philips dreamstation at first, but after what seems to be a faulty one and after that a lot of problems with getting the right pressure (too low his AHI would be bad (around 15-20 and he felt terrible) and too high his stomach would get full of air and he would wake up with pain)
So after 9 months he switched to the resmed 11 in the hope it would be better.
the doc has put him on a variable pressure right now but he still wakes up multiple times and thus not getting a good sleep and still feels super tired.
I feel so bad for him, since he is experiencing a lot of discomfort still from not sleeping well enough to get recharged (brain fog, joint pain, headaches, not being able to focus etc).
he has an appointment with the doc next week and we are seeking for advice on what the next step could be.
we downloaded OSCAR. could anyone take a look and give us some advice? since the doctor always just looks at the AHI, says its great and only wants to adjust the pressure after what seems like ages of my partner asking.
