Food rotation suggestions

Hello all! My wife and I got a kitten a few weeks ago. Her name is Cheesy Bean (named after the cheesy bean and rice burrito from Taco Bell), and she's a firecracker. First time having an orange.

We have been giving her Hills Science Kitten Wet food and just introduced some IAMS Healthy Kitten Kibble because I liked the idea of the smaller kibble bits. We feed her 2 cans of Hills a day and she free feeds the IAMS and uses the Trixie Cat Puzzle Mat for the kibble as well.

I am wondering if doing wet food rotations would be good too? I don't want her to end up being a picky cat in the future.

This is an issue we are running into our 15 year old senior who has early signs of CKD and refuses to eat anything other than this one particular food, in this one particular flavor.

What would be a good compliment to the Hills? We will probably continue to use Hills wet food as her main food. But would love to keep her on her toe beans so to speak.
