Substance on the metal top of tequila cork

Hopefully I’m using the right flair:

My bar had a case of Casa Azul Añejo tequila, 5 out of the 6 bottles are just fine.

This one bottles has substances on the metal topper and some tequila has clearly leaked out from under the plastic seal: Is this safe to wipe off and use. Definitely not going to be selling the product. But if we can use it for cocktail training, shifty, etc.

Please let me know I’m curious/concerned as I’ve never seen this before with a Spirit. Wine can be a whole different story

Question about bottle “safety” to drink

Hello everyone,

I received this case of Casa Azul Añejo tequila. 5 out of the six bottles are fine but when I opened this last one. The cork had seemed to not fit properly under the plastic seal and some tequila had evaporated onto the outside of the bottle.

The metal topper of the cork also has some residue on it.

Is this safe to consume?

Thank you all in advance!
