Southern CO. Only the exoskeleton left.
Hello all. Hi king today in Southern Colorado, Wet mountain range near Cañon City. Found a large white fir that had been felled and was laying near the trail. The underside had these hanging exoskeletons all along the underside, likely topping out at a 8 to 20 dozen individuals. I didn’t see another example of this anywhere else in the trail. Elevation roughly 7000. Thanks.
