I love how smart this boy is

Elvis and I had a great day! I tightened his girth fully for the first time and started working on free lunging. He's turning three, and has only ever been lunged a few times but he still doesn't really understand the concept. He's a very sensitive horse to cues, so I'm starting to teach him to lunge at liberty. He took that up SO quickly. By the end of our quick session in the round pen(about 15 minutes) we were already getting a few steps in a pretty nice circle. I love the cyan on him, but Hunter green is still my favorite. I'll get some video of him Saturday. Also, before anybody asks, he wasn't tied, his lead was just wrapped a few times. He doesn't have a boot on his left back because he's got a little scratch that doesn't have hair over it yet.

Admire my boy

Photo dump of few days worth of pics. Finally found a saddle that he seems to like so we can get back to walking in hand with one! I can't believe in 4 months he'll be 3. Please don't mind the pad, it was the only thing I had available at the moment😭
