Dead to Me (with Billy Liar and Brendan Kelly)

3 shows in the UK, managed to catch them last night at the Rough Trade in Bristol.

Unbelievable set, entered my top 3 best gigs. Tiny venue, about 200 people capacity, intimate, noisy, sweaty, just incredible.

Managed to get a few words and a handshake from Brendan Kelly (of the Lawrence Arms) after the gig, they say don't meet your heroes but he was charming, warm, and funny as hell.

I hadn't heard any Billy Liar before the gig but he was ferocious - a Scottish folk punk artist. Covered Rancid's Olympia WA which was amazing. Well worth checking out if your into the folk punk scene. Heentioned he's done some work recently with Frank Turner.

Brendan Kelly was amazing. Did some Lawrence Arms and Falcon stuff.

Great punk in the UK seems to be few and far between, but this was well worth the wait.
