I built a tool to help me rapidly reach potential customers based on what technologies they are and are not running. Recently I've deployed an early access build, and allowing everyone to try it out for free.

Here's how it works

  • Go to http://dev.versiondb.io
  • Punch in what countries you're targeting (e.g. United States)
  • Punch in technologies that a website must have (e.g. WordPress and WooCommerce)
  • Punch in technologies that a website must not have (e.g. Yoast SEO)

In this example, we're targeting online stores that aren't using Yoast SEO. If you offer SEO services, this gives you a direct list of potential clients who need an immediate boost in their search rankings. Click here to run the query.

Give it a try. Your feedback will help me shape what this application needs to be.

Current data spans September 2025 to February 2026. This test is loaded with around 400K domains found here.

All e-mail addresses are to specification for RFC 5322. Their format is valid but deliverability is not guaranteed.

To download your lead list, you must click "Proceed to Checkout" once you've performed a search. You will be directed to a Stripe payment page, but you will not be charged. The Stripe integration is in a sandbox mode and does not accept live payments.

One of the best ways to find highly qualified leads is by spotting the gaps in their tech stack. It immediately highlights the exact opportunities where you can step in and offer your services.

I'm running a test for an application I've built recently to find websites by their tech stack, and everything it spits out is free.

Here's how it works

  • Go to http://dev.versiondb.io
  • Punch in what countries you're targeting (e.g. United States)
  • Punch in technologies that a website must have (e.g. Shopify)
  • Punch in technologies that a website must not have (e.g. Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Omnisend, etc.)

And you're good to go. Additionally, you can also filter by

  • Keywords found on the website
  • TLD (e.g. .au)
  • Language
  • Contacts (must have e-mail, must have phone number, must have social media etc.)
  • Traffic
  • Crawl Date

To find US Shopify stores with at least one email address that aren't using Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Omnisend, or Privy click here.

All leads are retrieved from a web crawl, and all sites were publicly accessible on the internet at the time of the crawl. Every record has a crawl date so you control the freshness yourself, and if you only want stores crawled in the last 90 days you select that.

It seems like every single company out there requires a subscription from you to get what you want. I've made something where you can choose only the leads that you actually need without ever paying a subscription. I've recently released a development build the VersionDB lead list builder, and everything the development build spits out is completely free.

Check it out: https://dev.versiondb.io/
