Season 4 of prison break is the most exhausting, soul crushing, nightmare of a season I love it😭. Almost everything that goes wrong does, they get betrayed 400 times and it’s truly never ended, the season is like someone who doesn’t know when to quit it just keeps going and going. The writers truly creating the most exhausting nightmarish season of all time, leaving us all with trust issues for life 🤣🤣.
So before I had held any luxury watches I tried a Tudor black bay 58 on a jubilee bracelet (few months ago). This was the first luxury diver I had tried and initially I thought it felt cheap and lightweight and that the case was too heavy. Since then I had believed that the black bay was overrated. Since then I have tried all the divers Rolex submariner, omega seamaster, longines hydroconquest (today) and the Tudor BB54 + BB58 + pelagos.
Today I held all the models of the BB58 and I fell in love. Especially with the burgundy I think this watch is remarkable. The fit is amazing, the color and dial is flawless and the vintage look is so appealing. For me I think the jubilee just felt cheap, on the oyster bracelet it is perfect. I also preferred it over the pelagos (I don’t like the light feeling of titanium).
For me the BB58 fits far better than the submariner and this burgundy is unreal and unique. Although it may not have the specs of the sub it has its own charm and I would have the Tudor over it. This where I think the Longines hydroconquest struggles a lot. It’s trying to be a seamaster at times, it looks identical to a submariner, it lacks charm it lacks identity and soul.
Whereas the BB58 has its own unique design and identity. In addition, the BB58 has COSC certification, which the Longines doesn’t.
The metric of “Tudor is just cheaper Rolex” has never felt so untrue for me. The black bay is such a different design and I think it’s far more beautiful with a better fit. Of course the Rolex submariner is a great watch but its increase in size over the years has left me to just not like it as much. For me the Tudor even looks more versatile than the Rolex. I think the Omega seamaster 300 is an excellent watch but also struggles with being comically large and loses versatility with its helium value at the 10.
For me it’s the best diver out there that I have tried . The burgundy on the oyster is going to be my wedding watch. Well played Tudor you’ve won me over.
