Just need a little encouragement

Hello everybody. Hope you’re having a fantastic day. So I am now three weeks out of surgery and I know I shouldn’t be checking my weight a lot, which means I’ve only weighed myself twice. April 9 and today.

The first two weeks out of surgery I lost 5 pounds a week now in the time since I weighed myself I’ve only lost 2.7 pounds. I know the path isn’t linear. I know I’m still recovering from a lot of incision site pain, including a nerve spasm, which has diminished my desire to walk a lot and move a lot, which clearly needs to be increased.

However, I just want to know that the path is not linear. That there will be ups and downs as far as the amount of weight I lose.

Ps. I am hitting hydration goals and protein goals.

Nerve spasm near incision site

I just wanted to know if anybody else’s experienced what I’m experiencing. I had two incisions on either side of my belly button that required stitches. One of them has a nerve that is spasming which the surgeon told me about and gave me a lidocaine shot for. It reduced some of the pain, but it has not gone away and they’re telling me it will eventually subside, but I’m miserable. It hurts when I wear pants on it and it hurts no matter how I sit. Plus if I try to do my regular daily walking then it spasms painfully for a while after. Just curious if anybody experienced this and how long it lasted for them.
