Help me decide: Jura Z10 EB vs Siemens EQ900 (TQ907) vs Siemens EQ900 iAroma (TQ927) - real-world experience needed
Hey r/superautomatic,
I’m upgrading from a 6-year-old Siemens EQ.9 plus connect s500 (~15,000 cups, still works but flavor is fading and I want Cold Brew). I’ve narrowed it down to three machines and would love to hear from people who actually own them.
My household:
• Family with two kids, daily home office user
• 4-6 cups per day mixed (espresso, cappuccino, occasional cold brew)
• Two coffee preferences in the house, so dual bean hopper is important
My three options:
1. Jura Z10 EB (current gen, \~1,800 EUR) - single hopper, but Coffee Timer, Sweet Foam, Mocaccino attachment, the famous Jura espresso character
2. Siemens TQ907D03 (EQ900, \~1,880 EUR) - dualBean, removable brew unit, integrated milk system
3. Siemens TQ927E03 (EQ900 iAroma, brand new March 2026, \~2,150 EUR) - same as TQ907 but with active cup pre-warming, new UI, XL drinks, improved glass
My honest dilemmas:
• Is the Jura espresso quality really noticeably better in daily use, or is it just marketing and minor nuance? People who switched from Siemens to Jura or vice versa - what changed for you?
• Is dualBean a game-changer in real family life, or do you end up using one bean anyway?
• TQ907 vs TQ927 iAroma: is the active cup pre-warming worth \~270 EUR? Anyone who actually has the iAroma yet, please chime in - reviews are still thin
• Z10 owners: how often do you actually use the Mocaccino/Sweet Foam features after the novelty wears off?
• Jura owners with kids: do they steal the machine for chocolate foam drinks, or is it overrated?
What I value:
• Removable brew unit for hygiene transparency
• Long-term reliability over flashy features
What I’m willing to pay extra for:
• Genuinely better espresso (not just “slightly different profile”)
• Features I’ll actually use in 5 years, not just month one
Not interested in: “just buy a portafilter” answers - I know, I know, but for my volume and family setup a fully automatic is the right tool.
Real-world stories, regrets, surprises - all welcome. Thanks!
