I was sitting near Panepistimo metro talking to my mom on the phone, when my backpack was stolen today in Athens, broad daylight. All my stuff was in it, wallet, money, personal items and stuff, charger, clothes ect.

Cant even believe people do this, as it leaves the person FUCKED without wallet.

Luckily my phone was in my pocket!

I contacted the police who told me I could either fill a form to my insurance or fill a form to start a local police case - not both.

Can I do ANYTHING to recover my lost items in my backpack? They are important and mean a lot to me.

I have walked around in the area and looked a bit in bushes and bins. Can I do anything else?
