Drew this Character portrait with Brush Pen

Hi, this character portrait was created while chilling in the cafe and this was the time I thought why not add an earring, what do you think? Share it if you like the portrait. 😇

Imaginative Character portrait sketch with Sharpie

I was doodling in my new sketchbook, and this is something I came up with. I think it turned out pretty well, and if I spend more time on this portrait, I might end up messing it up. That’s why I decided to keep it in its raw form.

And yes, it’s completely from imagination.

Hi, I recently designed this OC and named him Clawnix, an anti-villain character inspired by a phoenix. He has powerful phoenix-like claws and can fly using his tech boots.

At the beginning of the design, I was creating a character with small wings, but as I explored further, the concept gradually evolved into what you see now. As a character designer, I understand how crucial the initial process is for character development. This character was created purely from imagination, without using references. While I know that isn’t always the best practice, I wanted to test where I currently stand in creating original characters.

Would love to hear your thoughts 😊

Hi, I found a portrait reference on Pinterest. It was a sculpture, and I thought of using it as a reference. The portrait was drawn with a brush pen, with an erasing technique similar to the style of Kim Jung Gi.

I know I am still far from his skill level, but he is my inspiration and idol.

I would be glad to know who inspires you to draw and keeps you motivated during hard times.

Thank you for all your support.

Recently created this portrait sketch out from ref. I was initially planning to color it in digital software but later thought to keep it in its traditional raw form. How is it? Should I post its short making video?
