I have just completed this procedure. Once I closed everything back up and rechecking the injectors were locked in, things were looking good. Started the pickup, and noted it started well, but then noticed it was idling rough. I shutdown the engine, and rechecked my work and nothing is jumping out at me as an issue. The only item that bothered me, was the EGR Tube seemed like the gasket had seen far better days. I also note what sounds like an air rush sound around that area. If the EGR tube is not making good contact, would that cause the engine to idle rough? By rough it seems like the RPMs get low enough that it wants to stall, until the gas is pressed, then it fast idles well, but when the idle drops, it again wants to stall. Would replacing the EGR tube and gasket solve this issue? Or, from what I have described to you, would you look at/check anything else? 6.0L V8 2001 Silverado 1500HD 4wd.
Hello, I have a Lenovo ideaCentre 5 desktop computer. It is getting a little old (2019), but suits my uses very well at present. Lately I have been having issues, while working the machine will randomly reboot. No warnings will occur, it just reboots. Checked the event manager, and while a kernel power error shows up “this system rebooted unexpectedly”, nothing else is showing up indicating an issue with Windows (running Win 11 Pro). I’ve looked at possible memory issues and have tested the memory via UFEI, it all tests okay. I’m zeroing in on the power supply since, as I understand it, any slight fluctuations in supplied power will cause a reboot. I’m asking here to find out if there is a definitive way to prove it is indeed the power supply that is failing? Would anyone be able to suggest ways to validate this? I do have a digital multimeter should that help to isolate the issue.
