When you were trying to fall gracefully through the windshield

Is this normal procedure? I had four fucking interviews with a company and they even made me take an IQ test, only to receive a generic rejection and then ghost me.
They even walked me around the entire facility, giving me a tour of the building / “where I’d be sitting”.
I am so unbelievably befuddled by this practice. Has this happened to anyone else? Is this normal? I had to use so much PTO for all of these interviews only to be discarded like human garbage.
EDIT: company was Expedient.
