New grads, how are you feeling about the job market?

Do you feel prepared for the professional work? Are you looking to move for work? How are you feeling after this new accomplishment? Especially if you're in the sub and you're not American, Canadian or European.

The use of fear to drive views is genuinely disturbing at this point

This post is coming from all the economy pages I'm seeing on Youtube mainly but it's definitely bled into Threads, Instagram, Tiktok, etc. I believe it's more profitable on Youtube though. It's insidious. Like they're telling you this to "help" you navigate the near future. No, they're lining their pockets with the millions of views. At what point does ethics matter? Are we not concerned about raising a generation terrified of everything, including their shadow?

For the founders/solopreneurs bootstrapping while traveling: When did the numbers finally turn green?

This one is personal because I'm bootstrapping at the moment and it feels so scary sometimes. I swing from excited and empowered to a raging idiot within minutes. So, for founders/solopreneurs who've done, what was the process like? How long did it take? What advice would you give.

Is it worth it to hire outside your country to save money? (I will not promote)

Ok, so a lot of startups sometimes bleed money in the beginning, especially in marketing. Thing is, they do need help. My question is: is it worth the potential savings to hire outside your country? I don't see this being talked about enough in these spaces. If you've hired outside your country, I would like to hear from you

Do you think our famous "easygoing" chill vibe holds us back?

This might come off antagonist, but let me cook. Times are changing. Opportunities are more competitive. Cost of living is rising. I think the easygoing "cyah badda" or "mi nuh like problem" attitude holds us back. We end up not reaching for our highest potential; just resting on good enough. I've offered free mentorship to people, and they are happy at first, then you can see the energy change when they're expected to put in effort to actually change their lives. Idk, I actually think maybe Gen X was putting in more effort than millennial and Gen Z.

Aqua rising with a TON of interesting transits for 2026

  1. Ok so the north node in aquarius (my nodal return in the 1st house)
  2. My jupiter return in leo (in the 7th house)
  3. Uranus in Gemini (my Mars in Gemini is in my 5th house)
  4. And Sagittarius lilith in my 11th house (is lilith return really a thing though?)
  5. Plus all the aries fire energy in my 3rd

So all together I have 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th and 11th house activated this year. I'm scared to be excited. Should I allow myself a little excitement as a treat 🥹? 2025 was so hard 😭

Like the title states. I'm curious how people see passport power and their place in global mobility. This isn't necessarily about the US btw.

While growing my business, I'm so strapped for cash. I have almost 100 sign ups, I see people are interested and I actually want to serve my global community. I just want a part time remote job, while I grow, but it feels so difficult. My background is marketing, but I can't properly market without funding. Any advice?

I'm currently in Hanoi, but I'm traveling to Hoi An soon. I've been taking public transportation while here in Hanoi (great experience so far) and I would also like to do that in Hoi An. I've looked it up multiple times but I'm still a little confused. If anyone has taken the route (or just knows how to) I'd really appreciate some clarity. Thank you!

I'm sick of the negative talk about how business owners need to be sharks, ruthless or cutthroat. I'm a business owner and while I'm not successful yet, I never want to lead with greed. I don't want to look at my business as taking and never giving. Some might call this idealist, but I believe there are many people who just want to solve a problem, be their own boss and not exploit people to get rich. Thoughts?

I want to help my global community and make a profit. Looking for advice

EDIT: Since people asked, the website is globalmovesnetwork.com

I'm Jamaican, but I want to support my global community while making money. Thats really my goal here. I have a site aimed at young professionals from the Global South highlighting travel opportunities, remote work, career resources etc. I also have coaching available since I've worked remotely for years. People don't seem to want to pay for that though. Without like Google adsense how can I make this site profitable? I currently have almost 100 sign ups.

Oxtail at Frying Pan Jerk Grill in Bangkok. This was pretty damn authentic imo. I had a chat with the owner's son for a bit. Apparently, the owner is a veteran and just taught the thai employees how to cook this food. I was so shocked there were no Jamaican in the kitchen. If I'm ever in Bangkok again, I'll def head back in.

This whole "proud to be Jamaican" thing is really keeping us from holding government truly accountable. Some of us have our identities too closely tied to the state. When the state is criticized, then it feels like a personal attack. Yes we love vibes but what about food security (and cost!), unwalkable cities, crime, unemployment and so much more plaguing Jamaica? But I keep hearing "I couldn't imagine not being Jamaican." Really?
