Most teams hadn’t even heard from her. I get it, there are 14 other teams so it’s got to be tough, lol. The article questions why she didn’t trade the pick for a future first. The league is dumbfounded by the move. Amatuer hour.
It’s past two so our roster must be finalized. Cant wait to see it.

I figured she was on the bubble.
Unfortunately, roster decisions will need to be made soon and probably sooner than we’d all like. I had both Halely Jones and Maya Caldwell on the bubble as of yesterday but after seeing them up close, I think I’m keeping Jones. You can see her athleticism and strength pop up close and I just think she’d be more valuable. That’s assuming players like Samuelson and Gustafson are locks. I’m not sure of Samuelson being a lock since she’s got some kind of foot injury.
Serah Williams has to make the regular roster as I don’t see her getting past waivers if they try to cut her and sign her to developmental spot.
My instincts tell me to cut Samuelson and Caldwell, and sign Suarez to developmental contract and sign Miela Sowah to roster as a bench sniper. (Both cut from Valkyries)
Roster:
Carla, Sutton
Sarah Ashley Barton, Jones, Sowah
Carleton, Engstler
Puoch, Bibby
Geiselsoder, Williams, Gustafson
*Buhner, Suarez
Carla shot 84% from the line last season so I’m not worried there at all. And the team as a whole missed a bunch of free throws.
The fouling by the team was rough but the league is making it emphasis to blow the whistle to encourage less physicality.
Got to gang rebound and protect the ball.
And we missing a bunch of players that should be on the court soon.
The team competed and were in position to win this game midway through the 4th despite everything that went wrong. Encouraging sign to me.
Regardless, my favorite part of basketball is watching a team being built, and watching the ups and downs as the players fight to get better and the team builds chemistry. It doesn’t happen over night but it does happen and it’s a beautiful thing to watch.
