Has anyone ever been prescribed Adderall for depression and it worked? I'm genuinely curious because I will be going to the doctor very soon about mental health medication and in doing my own research, most SSRI's or other meds have side effects that seem extreme for me in the long run. I've heard a few testimony's that Adderall has helped people with depression, but is that true?
I've been thinking of going to the doctor to discuss starting medication for mental health issues in my life. So far, I've looked into Prozac and Lamotrigine, both of which seem like they could help. I'm worried about side effects like hair loss, weight gain, memory and brain fog, personality changes, etc. Especially any long-term effects. I really want help, but I'm scared that I won't be the same person. I'd just like to know more about each of these and if anyone would like to share their experiences, please do.
