Likelihood of coverage for multi purpose surgery
I have pets best insurance. My 9 year old dog is going to have an anesthesic dental done later this month. I ended up asking about a skin tag that has grown in size over the last couple years and I just got the estimate from the vet. I called Pets Best and they couldn’t tell me what’s covered and said to just get the procedures and submit and “see what happens” essentially. I know the dental won’t be covered because he hasn’t had one before and that’s in their policy. However, would some of the anesthesia/monitoring/fluids etc be covered if they do cover the skin tag removal? (Likely will be covered as he didn’t have when I got him and I have photos that show that) This is how I got the estimate, with dental after the “subtotal” if that makes a difference. I just care more about if someone else has been in a similar situation and gotten coverage of more than just the mass removal/histopath. Thanks!
