Stop making first gen students feel badly for being upset over not walking at graduation. You guys have no fucking clue what some of us have gone through to make it here. I’m glad you dgaf, but I do. If you disagree, don’t sign the petition. We don’t have a gun to your head. Coming on this sub to try and play stupid saying it wouldn’t work logistically is shameful. It’s already a given we can’t logistically have every student walk on the same day during the same time slot. Our argument is that we deserve the funding to find another way for students to walk. Please mind your business from hereon-out you absolute losers. Find something better to do and leave first gen students who had to work 10x as hard for the same degree ALONE. I rest my case.

All of a sudden?? After the deadlines passed??? Nice. I never applied to attend commencement bc we don’t get to walk. I would’ve appreciated this whole movement happening before April 1st. Guess I don’t have the place to say much though. I should’ve started the movement myself. Whatever. My fault I guess lmao. Hope everyone gets to walk and you guys get to enjoy that moment with your loved ones, especially all the first gen grads. I understand more than anyone how important that moment is. How the absolute hellllll do I get the new email?????????? What is everyone doing to transfer over? I need to figure it out because I cannot miss the confirmation for my graduation application. Is that where I can expect to even receive it? unsure.... while we're here can someone tell me what the yes/no toggle means here? this is what it shows me when I log into cunyfirst and go to "graduation and transcript". I know it says I have indeed applied, but the yes/no toggle is kinda throwing me off... worrying me lmao
