So my husband bought this gorgeous vintage record player/ stereo system for me. However, we noticed that when we put on records that have loud drums specifically our modern records, it will skip when it gets to the loud parts. We thought it may just be the modern records but it happens with some of the older ones too. For instance we played a dirty dancing record from the 80s and it skipped on some parts of the song.
I know this needle is really small. I just replaced it with the same size needle thinking maybe the needle was too old but it still didn’t work. I’m wondering if we need to buy a new modern longer needle is it won’t skip? I’m not sure.
Any advice helps! All local record stores are wanting us to physically bring in the giant system and it would just be too hard to transport.
