How often should I be mowing my new lawn? Don’t judge too harsh on my lines. I know they are terrible

These are my results after a month of applying new grass seed. I have mowed for the first time today and have seeded again. Any advice on how to control knotgrass and other common weeds. I used Scott’s turf builder Rapid Grass sun and shade mix. Thanks in advance for.
