Hey guys first time posting in this sub Reddit I had a quick question regarding my stock head unit. If I were to purchase a newer model say from a 2017 or newer for the apple CarPlay is there any extra wiring I’d have to do or should it just plug right in. I had bad luck with an aftermarket head unit and don’t wanna go that right anymore also how do I verify if it has CarPlay or not thank you.
Hey so I recently purchased the gmsx7a and the A508 optic box for my 2015 Silverado Lt with Bose premium audio however I put it all together and turned on the truck the first thing I noticed is there is a humming noise at all times constantly coming out of my speakers and the second thing is my backup camera isn’t detecting even after using the proper adapter cable. I also noticed on the back of my gmsx7a there is no place for the optic cable to connect to. I have no issues with the screen powering on and working I even can play music and use my steering wheel controls I’m just not sure why the backup camera isn’t working it goes to a black screen when putting in reverse and why there is a constant humming coming from my speakers. Let me know if anyone has had this issue or a solution!
