This is a great idea for a Community Event. The rewards make it completely pointless.
I know I'm just adding to the chorus at this point, but I'm really disappointed with the reward structure for the 10 Year Anniversary.
Not only is it just incredibly meager, ultimately 3 normal loot boxes, 3 epics, and 3 Legendaries by the end of the event, but the structure of it takes what actually is a legitimately great idea and renders it completely pointless.
As an alternative, imagine if the reward structure was set up that the community could keep contributing every week and after earning the Legendary, the charge would reset and you'd have another go at it. Imagine if people who were locking the fuck in and contributing more than everyone else got shouted out and you ended up getting 5 Legendary loot boxes every week instead of 1 just because a handful of people grinded the fuck out of the game for our benefit. This would be especially great if those people got a shout out every week either in-game or on official accounts. With the current structure though, who the fuck cares? It's an utterly pointless event if the rewards are this meager and more than likely it's already set up in such a way that normal play time across the community unlocks the legendary each week.
Normally I wouldn't be that disappointed over some lackluster rewards, but Blizzard really took a great idea and just bottled the hell out of it by being so miserly. Come on guys.
