Do you read romance for the plot… or for the emotional damage?

I think it is really interesting how people talk about romance.

Some people like romance because of the tension in the story.

Some people like the characters in romance because they are not totally good or totally bad.

Other people like reading about characters who are obsessed with each other or who want to own each other or who are attracted to each other even though they should not be.

They like reading about characters who have messy emotions and relationships that are not healthy.

These relationships would be bad in life but they are interesting to read about.

For me the dark romance books that I remember the longest are the ones that make me feel sad or upset.

The emotional damage, in these books affects me more than the romance does.

So I want to know...

What makes you keep reading romance books?

Is it the plot, the tension, the characters, the way the characters are obsessed with each other or the emotional chaos that they experience?

[Dark Romance / Erotic Fiction] दो बदन – A collection of intense stories

Hello everyone

I just published my Hindi book दो बदन. It is a collection of stories that talk about attraction and desire. These stories also explore tension and complicated relationships.

My stories are not about people. They are about people who make uncomfortable choices. These choices can change everything in their lives.

The stories take place in settings like villages and cities. They also happen in rooms where people exchange silent glances. The relationships in these stories are not always simple. They do not always fit into what's right or wrong.

This book is, for people who're eighteen years old or more. It is meant for readers who like stories that're emotionally intense and romantic. The book also has themes and focuses on the characters.

You can find दो बदन here:

https://www.amazon.in/dp/B0GKYJ7MG4

I would really like to hear what readers think about दो बदन, those who like dark romance and emotionally layered fiction.

The girl in the mirror blinked first

I was getting ready at 2 AM. I had just finished some writing work.

I looked in the mirror while I was tying my hair.

For a second I just stopped.

My reflection was smiling at me.

I was not smiling.

I took a step back.

The smile went away.

I said to myself I am just tired.

Then my phone camera opened by accident.

I was still looking at the mirror.

In the front camera…

There was no one, behind me.

In the mirror I was still there.

What’s a fictional relationship that stayed in your head for years?

Some fictional couples just leave a weird emotional impact long after you finish the story.

Not necessarily the healthiest relationships — just the ones that felt emotionally intense, complicated, or unforgettable.

Which one stay
