Please excuse my sloppy writing, this should convey the gist of the idea.
A. Vehicle model is treated similarly to an item. A model enters a vehicle, and gains new keywords and movement, but may lose access to shoot actions depending on the vehicle. (Maybe a 'ram' option can replace shoot actions for 'pilot/driver' models.)
B. Large (almost legendary) based individual model with its own stat card. This option takes away part of what makes Halo's in-game sandbox so unique, as there could be no entering, exiting, or hijacking vehicles, but this would *look* much better than option A, since you wouldn't need to find a way to slot a model into a new type of empty 'vehicle' model. Maybe access to multiple different shoot actions per-turn if the model contains a driver and 2 passengers?
Which would work best? I myself am mostly partial towards A because it sounds more fun, but it would be a compromise on the way the vehicle model looks. There might not be a way to make a Standard edition Spartan inside of a slotted Warthog-shaped piece of resin look good IMO. Thoughts?
