just got my first mac app approved after 3 rejections, yay!

This subreddit has been really helpful, you guys!

It took about 3 weeks of back and forth with app review but my app GrantHub finally got approved yesterday

It's a grant budget management tool for researchers — if you've ever had to manage research funding you know it's a mess of spreadsheets and overhead calculations. basically built this because i was tired of doing it myself in excel

The review process was... an experience. first rejection was because NSPersistentCloudKitContainer silently rejects uniquenessConstraints even  when cloudkit sync is disabled — app just crashed on every launch for the reviewer. second time they couldn't reopen the window after closing it (forgot applicationShouldTerminateAfterLastWindowClosed). third time a button was getting clipped off screen on the reviewer's 14-inch macbook pro

each time it was something i never would have caught on my own setup. honestly the review process made the app better even though it was painful

anyway if anyone here manages research grants or knows someone in academia who does — would love feedback: https://apps.apple.com/tr/app/granthub/id6760590526?mt=12
