Are the Aeolian Islands worth visiting?

Hi everyone,

Currently planning a 17 day trip to Sicily for my honeymoon and I currently have 5 days carved out for the Islands but upon further research, I'm starting to think that it may be worth just using those days to fully explore the mainland as my partner doesn't like to hike. Is there enough to do/see on the islands, and is it a must see?

Thank you!

Please critique my 17-day honeymoon itinerary!

Hi Everyone,

I'm sharing the interary that I have planned for my honeymoon to Sicily in early June! At the moment i've only booked the tickets to palermo and will fly out from Catani. I'm still very much open to advice from those who have been on what to change and what to see at these places:

*Palermo (4 days)
*Cefalù (2 days)
*Salina, Aeolian Islands (4 days)
*Taormina (1 days)
*Ragusa Ibla (3 days)
*Ortigia, Syracuse (3 days)

The other half isn't big on hiking which is why I haven't considered Etna and prefers authentic culture and beautiful views. We also don't drink so aren't interested in wineries!

I'm looking to hire a car after Palermo and use a garage in Milazzo to leave it in whilst we are in Salina.

Is there any way that I should re-jig the itinerary?

Thank you 😄

Hi everyone!

I’ll be getting married soon and I’m having a hard time figuring out which colour tie and shoes I should go for with my wedding suit! The suit colour is a burgundy/maroon shade and I’ve shown it with a tie I ordered (which I find too bright).

What colour tie would go with it and would a patterned one be nicer? I have no budget so open to designer ones if they’re nice.

Also for shoes; oxfords? Brogues? And what colour?

I’ll be wearing a white shirt and ideally don’t want a black tie as the guests will all be wearing that!

Thank you all for any advice!

(Also ignore the bits of lint haha)

Hi everyone,

I'll be heading to sicily in early June for 14-15 days and really need an itinerary that covers some of the beautiful sites there but also provides some relaxation! I'll probably have a car (if necessary and if there's nice driving routes) so we'll be pretty mobile. My fiance loves the arts and culture but i'd like more of a laid back trip where we can just chill and enjoy some nice food!

Really looking forward to hearing from those who have been before

Hi everyone,

My fiancée and I are planning a 2-week honeymoon for early June and we’re struggling to narrow down our itinerary.

We’re looking for a mix of:
- culture/history/art
- scenic views
- relaxing atmosphere
- good food

Current shortlist:
- Andalucía
- Sicily
- Santorini
- Algarve
- Northern Italy (Venice, Verona, Lake Como, Cinque Terre)

We know we can’t realistically fit all of these into 2 weeks, so we’re trying to decide which 2–3 regions would complement each other best without spending the whole honeymoon travelling.

A few things we’re trying to figure out:
- Which destinations pair well together logistically?
- Which places feel best for a honeymoon rather than just sightseeing?
- Would you recommend hiring a car in places like Andalucía, Sicily, or the Algarve?
- Are there any places on this list you’d skip in early June?

For context, we’re travelling from London and would prefer a balance between exploring and downtime rather than moving hotels every couple of days.

Would really appreciate advice from people who’ve done similar trips recently.

Hi everyone!

I'm planning a honeymoon for 2 weeks at the start of june. My fiance loves culture and arts but i'd also like a relaxing trip where we get to take in some nice views too. We'd ideally like to visit andalucia, sicily, santorini, algarve, and italy (venice, verona, lake como, and cinque terre).

I'm aware that you can't fit all of this in to two weeks but what would be the best two or three places to visit to make sure we're both getting what we want out of the trip? and how should I split the time between them? Should I rent a car for them too?

I'm also open to hearing suggestions of other places too!

Hey everyone!

I asked you all which C8 I should get for my wedding car and showed a few options. Thank you all for providing your insights as it was all really helpful. I learned that a 1LT probably isn’t the best option for me as I’d need blind spot assist and a digital rear view camera, as well as the front camera too! I ended up finding a Z51 2LT at a much better price that I’m really excited to roll up in on my big day.

I’ve attached some pics of it too as I feel you all deserve to see it for being so nice :)

Hi everyone!

I’ll be getting married at the end of May. My partner is from the US (I’m from the UK) so I’m planning a surprise 2 week honeymoon to Europe for some time in June.

She’s been to Italy before and visited Rome, florence, and Milan, and cinque terre. She absolutely loved it and dreams (literally) of going back, especially cinque terre! I’ve been looking around and really like the look of Crete in Greece as it’s historic and there’s a lot of beautiful scenery to look at.

My plan is to fly from London to Crete for a week, then fly in to Italy for a week and do a road trip to some of the places she’s not been to such as: Verona, Venice, lake como, amalfi coast, lake Garda, dolomites, and potentially end our trip in cinque terre as a nod to a place she loves.

Now, I’m open to ideas on other cities in Europe to visit as she’s less interested in beaches and more interested in history, culture, and the arts. She’s also mentioned how much she would love to see Vienna in Austria too.

How do you guys think I should plan this trip? How should I allocate the time to each place? and are there other cities that may be better suited for our trip considering what interests her?

TLDR: planning 2 week honeymoon to Europe. Atm considering Crete (week 1) and italy — Verona, Venice, lake como, amalfi coast, lake Garda, dolomites, and cinque terre (week 2). Open to ideas on different cities too!

Hi everyone,

I’ve taken levothyroxine for my thyroid for 2 years and have diagnosed adhd for which I take elvanse. I’ve been collecting my medicine for both and was told by a family member that my prescriptions are free due to the thyroxine.

Fast forward to now, I’ve just received a letter stating that a check was done from dec 25 to feb 26 that shows I claimed a free prescription because of a valid medical exemption certificate and that I’m being given a PCN and will have to pay the prescription cost.

I had no idea that this was something you had to apply for and assumed it automatic once you’re prescribed thyroxine.

What can I do? I’m really worried as I’ve been ticking that box for 2 years
