[Serious] Since when have UFOs/UAPs become incomprehensible/non-Euclidian? Growing up, they were always flying discs, triangles, or cigars that clearly represented space craft. What changed?

Same as my title - these craft were always understandable to some extent. Now they're just an extra-dimensional smear in the sky.
What's going on?

Same as my title. In recent years, UFOs/UAPs have started looking a lot different than how they did growing up, or presented in popular "disclosure" media.

Thinking of it like this - if our lives on earth are a "recording" that is embedded into our soul - how much control will we have on the other side (if any) in the context of going back and re-visiting our previous life (lives) after the life review.

I find it difficult to wrap my head around the idea that we would simply dissolve away from our lived experience once the life review wraps up.

How powerful would it be to tap into the archives and re-live meaningful moments in your life as if you were back in your body experiencing it all over again.

Personal anecdote - but just bid on a house that went $150K over ask. Upon feedback from our realtor, most offers hovered near, or modestly above ask. All it took was one desperate (or moronic) bidder to blow the whole thing open.

Let's emphasize that - it doesn't matter that 95% of bidders are sending a message to the seller that their house is worth X. It's the one outlier who lives in fantasy land and says it's worth Y is the one who gets to set the level.

Two thoughts/observations here:

  1. The buy-side agent for that bidder should be dismissed for negligence. In what world is it reasonable to advise your party to throw their own interests to the wind and do whatever it takes to get this house? In no other area of professional services would you see a buy-side advisor advocating for such frivolous spending. Permitting (or recommending) such an offer, is completely against that party's best interests.
  2. Now, in relation to my title - the sell-side agent has a responsibility to try and maximize home value for their seller. The buy-side agent should have a responsibility to try and minimize the amount their parties should have to bid.

Where there is a huge disconnect - is that both sides are rewarded for higher prices.

By definition - this is a mis-aligned incentive. The process is supposed to be adversarial by nature.

Buy-side agents should be on a flat retainer, or have their compensation ground down for every dollar over "X" that their party offers on the house, and is successful. By grinding down compensation, it will force buy-side realtors to avoid "over-recommending" to their clients.

OR we just blow up the system entirely, and realtors take a flat commission either hourly, or based on the square footage of the house. Take price out of it altogether.

Thoughts?

That's the post.

Many games and pieces of media today present a sanitized picture of the Nazis (i.e. no swastika, no reference to Hitler, toned-down uniforms etc.) or outright shy away from having them as villains on the premise that their presence might make some audiences uncomfortable - flat out ignoring their historical significance.

This game really leans into Nazi Germany without making them cartoonishly evil either. The little historically accurate details on their uniforms/helmets, language, etc. just make the whole experience that much more satisfying.

The in-game physics make them incredibly fun to punch and shoot as well lmao.

I know this is likely incredibly naive, and let's assume there is an afterlife, but I really do hope that the afterlife lets us flesh out and discover things that were kept away from us due to human limitations.

  • I hope we can explore the stars, see life on other planets, observe key moments in human history.
  • I also hope we can re-experience moments from our human lives. Not just "view" them, but feel them at-will as if we're in our bodies again for a moment. There are so many little moments of excitement, happiness, and romance that would truly uplift my spirit if I could feel those again.
  • If reincarnation is real - I wish we can interact and re-experience our previous lives, and get brought "back up to speed" as one knowing.

I really don't want total ego death where I just dissolve into a beam of light or something... I want to be me, but better, and more than I could ever be on Earth.

Won't know until we get there I suppose.
