I’ve worked at a relatively small ace for about 3 years now. I started at 16 and I’m turning 19 at the end of the month. My store has been through a lot. 2 owners, 3 time clock apps, and a whole lot of staff. If anyone is on the fence about working here, don’t be. In my experience this job will teach you so much about basic diy and other trades to the point where when I started I didn’t know the difference between pvc and abs to now knowing how to plumb a whole bathroom. Since it was my second job I didn’t start out at very much ($12) but I’ve made my way up to $14.75 which is decent for a small town in wyoming. The only things I get tired of is my manager of course, and being given more responsibilities for less pay. Our ace has a contract postal unit and I work in there. I also carry keys and work as “maintenance” as I’m very handy. My manager often has me replacing floor and ceiling tiles, stripping and waxing floors, painting, and general maintenance which sucks but what am I going to do.

If anyone has any questions feel free to ask!
