Social media influencer, trafficking and/or scamming, what do you think?

My childhood friend got caught up in a “romantic” relationship with Giles Jones, hes on tik tok and instagram. He posts lots of “romantic” and “relationship” topics. She won’t tell me if she has or has not met him in person, completely dodging that question.

She swears he’s real. She swears they are getting married. Says he got her a ring and that’s proof he’s real. She claims she has a lawyer because she was guarded at first since she met him online. They have been talking for quite some time, and she says she will be moving to California with him, and that she will send me the wedding invitation.

When we first rekindled last month after roughly around 15-18 years of our paths going different directions, she mentioned him to me, all excited, and when I tried researching him, I noticed one comment from a woman on one of his pages saying “stay away from Giles, he and his group trafficks women, they disappear”, but I no longer can find that comment, the other thought tho is how common is trafficking a 40 something year old? Probably not. But scamming, sure probably.

Anyways, she won’t hear me out. She truly believes he’s real and that they are in love.

Did not know if anyone else had any dirt on this man? Or group? Or whatever it is? I can’t find anything on him, if I had some sort of proof I feel like I could convince her.

Very concerned for her. She claims he is tired of doing this influencer stuff and wants to quit.

Friend believes she is marrying an online influencer, can’t tell if this man is real or not. Trafficking concerns.

Gile Jones in the influencer through Tik Tok and Insta.

My girlfriend fully believes they are getting married and is currently arranging for a wedding and she asked me for my address to send invitations.

He is supposedly from England. They are trying to move to Washington DC but she claims they’ve had set backs.

She won’t tell me whether she has seen this man in real life. She only implied long distance and virtual.

I see he and Clarence jones had set up a go fund me for being shot at or something.

I came across a weird statement from another woman on Facebook saying he is part of a trafficking rink, but I lost this information.

Can someone help do a little digging? Is he real? Valid? Safe?

Also she is in her 40s.
