Not fun playing Ana anymore or skill issue?

So I’ve been playing Ana since ow1. Back in the day the most challenging heroes to play against was genji and tracer for the obvious reasons. Back then you’d practice landing sleepdarts on a blinking tracer and ulting genji.

In lower elos (diamond and below) a flanking Moira and sombra are also viable counters and threats.

… then they added Aran and vendetta who all have some form of fast dash / dive ability, absolutely annoying to play against especially in low elo when you do not get as much peele as in higher ranked games.

And now with sierra, if you happen to be on high ground and don’t have a viable cover, as in cover that allows you to retreat to a closed space (like a tunnel), you’re simply not winning this 1v1 as she can use the anchor, get a better angle on you and they simply don’t even need to track you that much due to their right click ability.

In my opinion currently, there’s just too many dps heroes that counter Ana and makes her unfun to play especially in lower elo games. I might have to move on from her and focus more on kiri and Juno. Anyone else feel this way or is this a skill issue on my side?

Edit: I’m plat 3, have been in middle to high plat for the last few seasons. Even in plat, you simply can’t rely on players consistently peeling for you.

Getting back into the game, building my first PC since 2019

Hey all, I’ve been holding back on building a gaming PC since 2019… since then I’ve been gaming on a cheap msi laptop where my ears bleed every time I boot up a game due to its loud fans, not to mention that there are some games I can’t even play on that laptop. Because I’ve been holding out for so long I’m willing to treat myself a bit and I would appreciate a review of this setup before I pull the trigger.

Budget: 5K CAD ideally. You’ll notice that the total right now exceeds that so I’d appreciate some advice on areas I can *reasonably* save. Though keep in mind, I’m ok with splurging in the right areas.

Primary use: Gaming. 90% of my time on this PC will be gaming. I play a lot of fast paced FPS games (overwatch, valorant, marathon etc. battlefield, cod, Fortnite etc<- I currently cant play these games on the laptop). I also like to play resource intensive RPGs and well, I cannnot play most of them on my laptop, not even at 30fps.

Other info:

- I like MSI’s cooling and build quality for the most part, despite its loud fans I’ve thrown this laptop through everything, one of the hinges for the screen is completely broken and it still runs just fine, because of this I chose to go with MSI for both the graphics card and motherboard.

I was going to go with an ASUS motherboard but I’ve read they’re not that great in the recent years, no idea If there’s any truth to that.

- I also like seasonic for my psu, this is based on the research I did on PSUs from a decade ago so I’m not sure if the brand quality has stayed the same.
