Hello all, my father purchased property from a seller who is a legal heir of the owner (who had passed away at the time of the purchase)

As part of the registration documents it is mentioned in one of the page that ‘based on the legal heir document submitted with reference number Xxxxx’

But my father doesn’t have a copy of the legal heir document. We asked the seller and he says he gave it to us. My father’s tried reaching the legal heir for another copy and that person is not willing to engage with my father.

We are told this document is mandatory for bank loan purposes and so will impact sale.

My father has been suggested to apply for RTI. Does anyone have experience with similar case?
