Is there a way to disable the charging tray? I don't have a compatible device, so it seems pointless to have it on.

I am about to put a deposit on an Uncharted Sport. Here in Canada, the charging cables and adapter are add on options for about $1000. I plan on installing a Grizzl-e before I get the car. Is it realistic to pass on the cables and get non Subaru cables?
