I’ve been trying to port out of Boost to US Mobile for over 24 hours, but it seems like Boost doesn’t want me to. I asked to port out my number yesterday because I have been getting bad service at my work and other parts around town. I called in to talk to a rep and she told me instead of transferring out she knows a way to get better service and told me she would send me a new sim and I will get better service. I tried that and it didn’t change anything so I called again later that night and spoke to another rep and they offered to reduce my bill by 50% and I declined and told them I wanted my port out pin. The rep told me that he sent the port pin to my texts, it never came. I waited an hour on the phone with him and never got a text. I called in again after work and they once again told me they were sending me my port pin to text and I was on hold another hour and still didn’t receive a pin. They told me to turn off my phone and turn it back on and call them back. I told them that doesn’t make sense because I’m getting the verification code texts instantly when I call into talk to a human, nevertheless I did that and called them back. This time I asked for the port department and I was on hold for 35 more minutes without anyone coming on the line, I hung up. I did receive a “referral friends” texts after I hung up, but never my port pin. I guess I’m going to have to file a grievance with the FCC to get it, I guess. I’ve never had such a bad experience with any cellular company as I have had with Boost. I have 18 days left on the plan, but I already signed up with US mobile yesterday so this is very frustrating. Has anyone ever ran into this problem before?
