i move my stop to break even and tell myself its discipline. its not.

i move the stop to break even and tell myself im being disciplined.

im not. im just hoping from a safer distance.

the position plays out the same way it always does.

has anyone actually fixed this or does it just get more sophisticated?

nobody warns you that your best trading month will make you a worse trader

i had my best month ever in february.

i've been worse ever since.

not because the market changed. because my brain did.

one good month and your position sizing makes sense, your rules feel optional, your edge feels obvious.

then march arrives.

has anyone actually come back from a run like that without blowing something first?

i set hard stop times on my platform. i remove them every time.

every time i have a losing morning session i tell myself i'll stop.

then the afternoon setup appears and i'm back in.

i've tried hard stops on the platform. i remove them.

at what point does discipline become something you either have or you don't?

i broke all 4 of my trading rules today. while knowing i was breaking them

i have 4 trading rules.

i broke all 4 today.

not because i forgot them. i knew exactly which rule i was breaking at every step.

why does knowing the rule make zero difference in the moment?

is this a discipline problem or something else entirely?
