is Ricoh Griii/gr3 worth it for a beginner? Or is there better alternatives?
I always wanted to get into cameras, i've been using the iphone 17 for a while but I wanted to get something different mostly for when I travel and memories. (I already used up like 200gb of my phone just from photos)I really really love the colours of the gr3 and how portable it is. I want it to be something I know I will bring around easily n often so definitely not a big camera (pocketable size) eSo Ricoh is my top choice from what I've seen but I'm open to suggestions!
My budget is around $1600aud and I'm in Australia. I'm not too fussed about not being able to film videos as I have a phone for that already but it's a nice feature to have. I want to buy a camera that is going to be at least a pretty significant or noticeable upgrade from my iPhone cameras (I've had iphone 14 Pro and iphone 17). I mostly take pictures of scenery, food and pets so more point and shoot stuff.
I also looked at canon g7x mark iii and sony zv-e10 for similar size and price point as well. Thank you for any suggestions!
