I am considering resigning after over 8 years at Walmart Canada as an ASM, the pay does not match the responsibilities, my mental health is suffering and my family life is suffering as well. Does Walmart Canada have a policy where you can't work for walmart if you resign? Also I've heard from former ASMs that when you give notice they can just tell you "your services are no longer needed" as I guess the ASM could potentially ruin morale? and you're done without 2 weeks. Has this happened to anyone else?

I'm curious if anyone here has been in a store where unionization became almost a reality. What strategies does Walmart use to dissuade it? If you were in leadership for said store, was it a massive headache? Was the market leader and others giving you hell?
