Hi everyone,
I recently replaced the LCD screen on my Fujifilm FinePix F10, and after the replacement I started getting this strange display issue.
The screen itself is working, but part of the image is black and the picture seems compressed or shifted. What makes me think this is not a dead-pixel or burned-screen issue is that the menu/UI elements are scaling correctly inside the visible image area, almost like the camera is outputting the wrong resolution or reading the display incorrectly.
At first I thought the original screen was dead, but it turned out to be just a loose LCD ribbon cable. Because of that, I had to completely disassemble the motherboard and reconnect everything.
Now I’m wondering if:
- there’s another ribbon cable I may have partially disconnected or not seated correctly;
- a connector related to the image processor or sensor is loose;
- or if the replacement LCD itself could be incompatible or defective.
The camera still functions otherwise, but the display output is clearly wrong.
Has anyone seen this before on a FinePix F10 or similar Fujifilm cameras? Any idea what component or cable I should check first?
Thanks in advance.
